Fashion Design


The fashion industry is a demanding field that expects
and rewards excellence. Designers must have a strong sense of aesthetics
and be aware of market requirements. Our school offers college training
in Fashion Design that will develop the student's artistic and technical
abilities in preparation for a rewarding career in an exciting and dynamic
field. In addition to developing their personal style, graduates are trained
to analyze trends and create new styles. The Academy in Montreal also
provides training on PAD System, Photoshop, Illustrator and Click Design
modules – enabling students to work with the cutting edge of fashion
design technology.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able
to:

Create and prepare patterns for quality
women’s wear; |

Create and design clothing and produce them in fabric |
 |
Analyse clothing and make necessary adjustments |
 |
Sew samples |
 |
Draw illustrations and structure story boards; |
 |
Prepare technical files; |
 |
Prepare the collections and present them. |

The program includes a 2-month internship within a
company to practice skills learned throughout the Fashion Design program.
