Fashion Merchandising


Fashion Merchandising is a highly diverse profession.
Successful fashion merchandisers constantly remain open to new trends.
They determine merchandise prices based on the market, create inspired
displays that boost sales, and possess encyclopaedic knowledge of the
characteristics of different fabrics - and of customers' buying habits.
Fashion marketing in Montreal is a dynamic field that will appeal to those
who enjoy working with the public.

Upon completion of the program, students at our school
will be able to:

Foresee styles and trends; |

Buy merchandise to resale either to wholesalers or
the retail community; |

Develop communication and marketing tools to effectively
merchandise products and services; |

Evaluate the needs of the local markets in relation
to global markets; |

Evaluate suppliers and negotiate competitive terms;

Train, manage and motivate personnel; |
 |
Plan and control budgets; |
 |
Coordinate promotional activities. |

This college training program includes a 2-month internship
within a company to put into practice the skills learned throughout the
Fashion Merchandising courses.
